Parking at the Westin

The closest parking is the Westin Boston Waterfront parking – $44/day self-parking or $54/day valet. Valet parking is guaranteed for guests of the hotel.

Local Parking Lots

In addition to the Westin’s parking garage, there are a variety of other nearby parking lots are are available. Please be sure to check their hours of operation to ensure they are open when you plan to drop off or pick up your vehicle.

• The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center lot (which is next door to the Westin) is typically closed if they are not hosting an event, but is sometimes open weekdays. Please check their website to see if they are planning to be open.

• Pilgrim parking at Fan Pier Lots, Park Lane Garage, and the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.
• Seaport Boston Parking Garage.
• Across the street from the Westin, is the new South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center (SBWTC) garage with 1,500 parking spaces.  The max height is 8′.  The weekday price is $38/day, Sat/Sun (5am-5am) is $16.
• Parking at Massport Facilities. Their hourly parking is $18 for less than 2 hours and $30 for less than 4 hours. The 5+ hour rate is $38. Closes at 3am M-F, open 24-hours Saturday and Sunday. These lots are credit card only and you must use the same card to enter and exit. No overnight parking during snow emergencies: cars will be towed.
• About 1/2 mile from the hotel is the Channelside Parking Lot on Binford St. This is probably the cheapest place to park in the area.
  • 0-60 minutes: $10.00
  • WEEKEND 5am- 5am: $5.00
  • 1-24 hours: $25.00
  • Daily Maximum 5am-5am: $25.00
  • EVENING Rate 4pm- 5am: $8.00

On-Street Parking

Read the meters, read the signs. Parking rules are different from place to place.

• All street parking is metered until at least 6pm on Friday and Saturday and some may be metered until 8pm. The meters are free on Sunday. Check the street signs carefully, as most of the street near the hotel is reserved for taxis.
• Bring quarters. Some meters charge $1.00 an hour and some charge $1.25 an hour. (Some meters are operated by the city of Boston, and others are operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority. This is why meters in the same general area could charge different rates and require payment at different times.)
• Most meters are limited to two hours, some (closer to downtown Boston) will let you park for four hours, and a few are limited to 15 minutes. It is illegal to feed your meter past the time limit and you could get a hefty ticket.
• Handicap plate/handicap placard vehicles also have some different rules, depending on who is operating the meter.
• City of Boston meters: Time limits do not apply.
• Massport Meters: Time limits do apply.
• Summer Street has street cleaning every night at midnight so you must move your car by midnight if you park on Summer St.
• Some spots on the “newer” streets like Marina Park Drive do not have individual meters and enforce parking rates 24 hrs a day, so read the parking signs when you park. If you see multi-space meters, these are generally also limited to 2 hours of parking, but they will take credit cards in addition to cash.

Again, check your meter and/or parking signs carefully when you park!

The city of Boston has an app called “ParkBoston” for Android and iOS that allows you to use your smartphone and a credit card to pay for parking at meters in most parts of Boston (and allows you to extend your stay). If you wish to use the app, you might want to download it and configure it while you’re at home. You can also call (617) 635-2729 to pay by phone or browse to park.boston.gov.

Bicycle Parking at the Westin Parking Garage

The Westin no longer has on-site bicycle racks; however, there are covered racks right next door at the BCEC.

Airport Parking

Parking at the Logan airport garages are $35 per day. The Economy Lot is $26 per day. From the airport, you can take the Silver Line (for free) back to the hotel; ($2.90 with CharlieTicket) to go back to Logan. To get to the airport garages, take the Mass Pike (I-90) east to the airport and then follow the signs to parking.
